We are the nation's largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications. We manufacture and market prestressed PC-strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement and standard welded wire reinforcement for concrete reinforcement applications. The company operates ten manufacturing facilities in eight states.

Position Snapshot

The International Inside Sales Representative will act as a liaison between multiple internal and external customers including Outside Sales Group/District Sales Manager, National Sales Manager, Master Scheduler, Logistics, Shipping, Accounting, and Production contacts.

To perform well in this role, you will need to:

  • Have excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Spanish
  • Display customer service and a professional demeanor to be the "voice of the Company"
  • Catch all the details in customer interactions resulting in accurate and efficient order processing
  • Formulate and manage the marketing strategy for international accounts
  • Manage multiple and conflicting priorities while making problem solving decisions
  • Be able to perform well in a multi-faceted team environment with various peers and a variety of business leaders
  • Possess a firm understanding and ability to perform basic mathematical skills to generate quotes, understand and manage inventory levels, create PO's, and manage information input and data
  • Tactfully manage customer complaints and claims within the framework of Insteel's requirements
  • Prepare and maintain various reports as requested

Qualifications to be considered for the role:

  • Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent); Associate degree preferred; or a combination of education and applicable experience
  • A minimum of 2 years work related experience is preferred
  • Some overseas travel experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of wire and cable export markets is preferred
  • Possess a good understanding of basic math skills and numerical abilities
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent phone and communication skills
  • Be adaptable to working within a Team Environment
  • Able to manage multiple priorities at once
